Semen Analysis for Men – The First Step Towards Answers

A semen analysis (spermiogram) is a microscopic examination of a semen sample that evaluates the quality and quantity of sperm. It assesses key fertility parameters, including:

• sperm concentration 
• sperm motility 
• semen volume and pH 
• other important semen parameters 
• Sperm morphology – detailed evaluation of sperm shape, size and structure 
• MAR Test – detects antisperm antibodies that may impair sperm movement and reduce the ability to fertilise an egg 

These factors play a crucial role in natural conception, and the examination can help identify one of the possible causes of male infertility.
